This is the free demo

The first three days and nights of the tale, solo or with up to two friends. Build your first house, learn how Huff hunts, and try to see the third dawn. The full game, seven nights and the chimney, is coming to Steam.

What you do

By day you gather straw, wood and stone from the forest and build on a grid that actually holds weight. Walls need floors, floors need walls, and anything you build too far out will sag and fall. Everything goes up as straw. Hold E on a piece to turn it into wood, then stone.

By night you stay inside, keep the fires fed and listen.

Huff

• The first night he only watches. Two red eyes between the trees.
• He hears you. Run and he knows where you are. Crouch and he loses you.
• Light doesn't scare him. He blows your torches out.
• He looks for the door you forgot to close, and goes for your weakest wall.

Fists won't kill him. You can only make him leave. If he catches you he won't eat you right away: he carries you to his den, and your brothers have until dawn to come get you.

Play together

Up to three players, one per brother. Share one pile of materials, split up to gather, and stay quiet: Huff hunts whoever makes the most noise.

Online play works over local network or direct IP for now.

It's early

Some things will break. Huff will occasionally get stuck on a rock and look very embarrassed about it. If you play it, tell us what scared you, what bored you and where you got stuck. Every comment on this page gets read.

This product may have bugs; we are improving every day and your feedback would help us. That said, we are not responsible for misuse and do not offer refunds.
